Patriot Copy – Privacy Policy

Patriot Copy – Privacy Policy
Patriot Copy is a Chrome extension that captures the current browser tab’s content (visible text, HTML source, and JavaScript console output) and optionally a full-page screenshot, then places that content on your clipboard as a single prompt for use in AI tools.
Data collection
Patriot Copy does not collect, store, or transmit any user data to any server or third party. All processing happens on your device.
What the extension does
- When you use a shortcut or the extension popup, it reads the active tab’s content (HTML, visible text, and console output) and optionally captures a full-page screenshot.
- It writes the assembled prompt (and optional screenshot) to your clipboard so you can paste it into another application.
- It does not send page content, clipboard data, or any other information to the developer or any remote service.
Local storage
The extension uses Chrome’s local storage for one preference only: whether “Capture console from load” is on or off. This is stored only on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Permissions
The extension requests permissions (e.g. activeTab, scripting, clipboardWrite, debugger, storage, tabs, and host access) solely to perform the actions above when you trigger them. They are not used for analytics, advertising, or any purpose other than the extension’s single purpose.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
